MEDEOR NEWS
Pulsograph production news
It's been two weeks since the special pre-order prices closed, after three exciting months. And the result is there: you trusted us (and in numbers!) to allow us to begin this adventure, together.
It will not have been easy. But the satisfaction I get from it is immense, and I hope it will be the same when you'll meet your Pulsograph.
To meet the announced delivery times, production was launched at the end of 2023. We therefore already have a few dials which are patiently awaiting their luminova, before checking the strict correspondence for the color rendering / emission in relation to the hands and the telescope. Your watch benefits from triple quality control: during manufacturing, before assembly, and after assembly.
And as I like to get a little ahead of the curve, I started producing something else. A little surprise for 2024. So stay tuned to "Medeor News", you never know what clue might slip in...
What will change compared to the prototype?
You discovered the prototype during pre-orders thanks to the trust of certain well-known names in watch criticism, with articles from FX Overstake (equation of time), Nicolas Amsellem (Les Rhabilleurs) or others, and formats video (Moonwatch) or audio (Des montres et vous), ... and we warmly thank everyone for that!
The icing on the cake is the Franco-German director Joshua Ewert who offered it to you with this superb macro video of the Pulsograph, where we capture all the finesse of the execution of the finishes and the assembly.
However, certain details will change compared to the prototype. All this in a quest for “better”. The devil is in the details, and we strive to be impeccable:
- The Superluminova goes from 7 layers to 12 successive layers on the dial indexes. This generates an additional cost necessary to optimize readability in the dark, knowing that the "old radium" color is less bright than BGW9.
- The stylized “Pulsograph” logo has been slightly enlarged, allowing a better imprint on the dial.
- Some improvements have been made to the bezel (lubrication, painting, finishing).
- The space between lugs will be completely brushed (vs polished on the prototype, subject to scratches), but we obviously keep the polished chamfer along the length of the case, it's so beautiful...!
- These are only the “tangible”, visual improvements that you will have the pleasure of admiring. A few others are coming in 2024, like our steel bracelet for example, but I'm not saying any more for today!
Thank you for your welcome to the watchmaking world,
I wish you all a wonderful new year 2024,
(and above all health!)
Dr Vincent Heyraud
